Stamp Duty Relief for First-Time Homebuyers

Several Stamp Duty (Exemption) Orders are deemed to have come into operation on 1 June 2023.

The government has given effect to stamp duty exemptions for first-time house buyers as part of initiatives announced by the Minister of Finance in the Malaysian Budget 2023 Speech.

This initiative grants a 100% exemption for purchases below RM500k and a 75% exemption for purchases between RM500k and RM1mil in an effort to make housing more affordable.
