Yean Peng is a Partner in Munhoe. Her practice areas include Real Estate, Banking & Finance as well as Corporate and Commercial Law.

 

She was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2008 and started off her legal career with Messrs Zaid Ibrahim & Co. Prior to joining Munhoe, she served as a Senior Legal Assistant with Messrs Shook Lin & Bok.

 

Her Banking & Finance portfolio counts acting and advising both lenders and borrowers on a variety of financing transactions on corporate and retail loans as well as creation of wide classes of security interests, ranging from real estate to intellectual property rights to ships. She was also involved in a number of debt restructuring exercises entailing listed companiesand listed securities, industry development funds as well as property financing. 

 

Concomitant with property financing, her real estate practice invovled her acting on an array of real estate acquisitions and divestments as well as commercial and retail leasing. Yean Peng has also acted on corporate transactional and advisory services for listed and unlisted corporations. These include shares and assets acquisition, restructuring, joint ventures and general advisory services.
